I wet the pan, sprinkle with Comet, let set for a minute or two, Then I use a scouring sponge. Rinse, and put into hot sudsy water. Wash as usual and rinse again.
The trick is don't let grease build up on the pans. Do it regularly!

The attractive and hygienic surface appearance of stainless steel products cannot be regarded as completely maintenance free. All grades and finishes of stainless steel may in fact stain, discolour or attain an adhering layer of grime in normal service. To achieve maximum corrosion resistance the surface of the stainless steel must be kept clean. Provided the grade, condition and surface finish were correctly selected for the particular service environment, fabrication and installation procedures were correct and that cleaning schedules are carried out regularly, good performance and long life will be achieved. Frequency and cost of cleaning of stainless steel is lower than for many other materials and this will often out-weigh higher acquisition costs.
Stainless steel is easy to clean. Washing with soap or a mild detergent and warm water followed by a clean water rinse is usually quite adequate for domestic and architectural equipment. An enhanced appearance will be achieved if the cleaned surface is finally wiped dry

There is a product you can buy almost at any store: ie, walmart etc. I use it and it works like a dream...stainless steel cleaner or even comet sometimes work but buying something specific for stainless steel is a plus. You can find it in the isle with the sponges and the dishwashing liquids, etc. Hope this helps.

I usually use the following:
SOS (cut in half, no sense to use the whole thing) to remove oil stains or very tough stains from cooking etc...... or
Spray them with Clorox spray and leave on there for no more thatn 1 or as needed or
use the stainless steel wipes, buy at Walmart, they work great for my frig.
and always try to hand wash, Dishwasher won't do the job with the stainless steel.
If you don't want to spray with the Clorox, then try mixing it with water and leave 'em in there for a few minutes.

For hand washing, all you need to do is dry them with a towel. Then there will be no spots. For the dishwasher, there are products in the stores, near the detergent, that will treat the water to avoid spots.

Always clean it after use so things don't get stuck on it, and use a steel wool cleaning untensil to clean it. I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher at all.
