I have seen that they always itch in the ankels and legs..

I don't know about you, but they itch on MY face. Especially on the forehead. Maybe you have more tolerance for irritants on your face, like less sensitive skin?

Maybe because our face doesn't have as much blood as our leg, so the mosquitos can't find enough blood from the face for it to itch enough to bother you.
But most of the time it does itch.

Sorry to disagree but I have been stung on the eye lid by mossies and that itches like hell......
