Music is soothing. I don't mean listen to slipknot and headbang all night, I mean classical or blues or something creative.
Try sports is very good. Running often helps me and helps me think straight.
I think also drawing might be relaxing.
You might see a pattern here, mostly creative stuff is good.

A good rub down, a walk alone. If you have kids hang them in the doorway that always fun. Just kidding! if this made you laugh you have been helped already. Find something that will make you feel at peace a pace breathing is good.

One of the most effective herbs is Holy Basil (New Chapter makes the most potent and cleanest one), which helps reduce stress in several ways. Energetically, it helps to "elevate the spirit," and reduce one's tendency to respond in a stressful way to "stressors," and physically by reducing cortisol and stabilizing blood sugar levels. This herb has been used for thousands of years, and is known as "holy" because of its spiritual effects.

well other than smoking, which I guess ultimately doesn't help anything, try exercising, it creates endorphies which make you happy, and happy people deal with stress better. Other than exercising to get your heart rate up, try yoga, I never feel more centered than when my body mind and soul feel as if they are one.
