I still really like her but having a long distance relationship was so painful, especially when we broke up. I'm afraid I'm going to fall in back in love with her and go through that whole painful experience again. What shal i do?

If this is such a painful thing to do, you better being honest to her and tell her the truth, you cannot keep this long distance relation and evaluate to attend this date of yours.
You better, look for something that makes you happy,ENTHUSIASTIC... life is already tough to keep making it even painful...

Id keep my distance, its too hard for most people to have a long distance relationship. If it failed once it will fail again, exp if one of you likes the other one more.

If you where ment to be together you'd still be together now. If theres no way of avoiding her, make it up that your dating someone now, this will stop her (hopefully) coming onto you, and therefore it might help you not fall back in love with someone that you clearly cant be with.

Or why not both agree its just a temp thing for the time that you are there, so theres no mixed communications when its time to go home, there is no real right answer here im afraid, it your gonna get back together its just gonna happen.

Just be prepared for the worst and thats the best advice i can give
Good luck!

I would definatly keep my distance. I did a similar thing with an ex of mine. We had been apart for 4 years and she asked if I wanted to take advantage of a cheep holliday that she had. hell yes came the reply, but as soon as I a saw her it was terrible. Emotional termoil all the way. All those wounds open again... so not much fun. On the plus side it was a lot quicker to get over the second time round. Anywho... good luck mate, I think I know (you know) exactly what you will do and I hope it works out ok for you

If you think you would fall in love with her again, don't bother going. Why put yourself through the heartache again if it would end up with you going through the pains, not worth it. Besides, why put her through the same 'torture' if it ain't gonna work out. Best thing for now is to keep a distance, remain good friends move on and explore less 'painful experiences'.

Love is not meant to be painful, an ex is an ex for a reason, move on and don't waste time living in the past, its gone look forward now and love yourself enough to say no to a destructive relationship.

tell her how you feel, you might be surprised to find she feels the same.I've been in a long distance relationship for years,on and off.every time either of us gets in touch with the other the feelings come back.
if its just the distance that drove you apart in the first place then you probably will fall for each other again.

maybe a part of you feels by being far apart you never really experienced your relationship to the max.

I think that it will be nice for you to see her, but to be honest you need to try to keep your distance if you don't want to fall for her again.

I do think it is possible to remain friends after a relationship, just treat her like your other female friends and things should be just fine.

See what happens-you may be surprised to find your feelings have gone. This happened to me, and I was surprised how little I felt when I saw her.

If all else fails, just remember, you've been there before the next guy
