Because you have to read the Koran in Arabic and most Americans are illiterate in their own language without trying to learn a new one.
Especially one that uses squiggly little marks instead of straight lines for characters, doesn't use vowels and is backwards (right to left).

No, absolutely not. Hitler said that Germans were the Master race. I don't need to worry about what some guy said. If the koran said that when you die you will find pink ballons in the afterlife , why should I believe it ?

First of all, the term and the meaning for the word, "Allah" does not refer to a NAME. (Even the majority of Muslims agree with that), rather, "Allah" corresponds, in Hebrew, to ´Elo·him´, the plural of majesty of the word ´eloh´ah (god). Nothing else!
Interesting enough, a superstition arose among the Jews that prohibited them from pronouncing the divine name, JeHoVaH/Yahwey. So it became their custom that while reading the Holy Scriptures, whenever they came to the name “Jehovah/Yahwey,” they pronounced ´Adho·nai´, which means “Lord.” In some places they even altered the original Hebrew text from “Jehovah” to ´Adho·nai´.
Christendom followed the same course. They replaced the name Jehovah with “God” (“Allah” in Arabic) and with “Lord.” That contributed to the development of the false doctrine of the Trinity, which has no basis in the Holy Scriptures. Because of this, millions mistakenly worship Jesus and the holy spirit and consider them equal to God.
The Quran is not a part of the Holy Scriptures (Bible). Rather, it is a book known to be holy by Islamic religion from it's diety god (arabic term for Allah). However, the Holy Scriptures is inspired by the only true God, who has a name, Jehovah/Yahwey. Therefore, the name distinquishes its self from all other gods including the Tri-une (Trinity) gods.
ISLAM is the name of the religion founded by Muhammad in the beginning of the seventh century after Christ. Not of Moses or does it accepts the teachings of Christ.
In examining the Quran, which is about the size of the Christian Greek Scriptures, one is struck with the absence of miracles or proof that Muhammad was indeed a prophet sent of God. When Moses, the first Bible writer and first prophet to be sent to the descendants of Jacob, went to Israel he was well fortified with miracles to prove his divine mission. See Exodus, chapter 4. Likewise, when Christ Jesus came, he performed so many miracles that all those who had not let themselves be blinded with selfishness had to admit that he was sent of God.—John 7:31; 10:37, 38; 14:11.
Muhammad, however, came with no supernatural proofs of his divine commission. Time and again his critics complained of this and repeatedly he told them that his work was not that of producing signs but merely to preach, and that his lack of signs was for the purpose of testing their faith. But what is faith without proof? Anyone could claim to be sent of God. Moses and Christ proved it by the performance of many miracles, but where were Muhammad’s miracles? He confessed in the Quran to having none.—See Suras 2:118; 10:38; 11:13; 6:109, Ali.
