If they honestly seek forgiveness for their sins

Accepting Jesus as your Savior to become a Christian is a life changing experience. While non of us Christians are perfect, we are encouraged through God's word to try to be a better person that what we have been in the past. If they truly repented and accepted Jesus Christ, there will be no need for the deadbolts. While we as Christians still slip up and sin here on earth, there is no sin in Heaven.

God/Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life". I did not send my Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved". Yes the 85%, if they are in fact true believers of Jesus Christ, shall be in heaven. They are forgiven their sins as anyone else that asks and receives Jesus into their hearts and souls. As with anyone, it is not enough to just say the prayers yo have to live a life as best as possible like Jesus would. Try, although we can not ever achieve perfection all we can do is try and when we do fail (which we all do, daily) as for guidance and forgiveness and get up and go for it again. Daily.

I think that if there is a God then he knows your heart. If you are just acting then, no. But there are some true reformed criminals. Maybe they chose to accept Jesus into their heart. Maybe they'll go to Heaven.
* Personal disclaimer- I am former Catholic, loves to study different religions, young and unsure of my spiritual beliefs right now but - if there is a Heaven- I don't think accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior is a precursor to getting in.

If anyone truly accepts Gods salvation through Jesus, then they will go to heaven if they keep their faith until they die.

Heaven will not need deadbolts because there will be no evil there.

yes... all of them will. it doesn't matter what a person does no matter how bad it is. if they believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins, defeated the devil, and rose again, so that if we believe this we will be with him in heaven. yes all of those inmates will be in heaven it doesnt matter what a person does god is forgiving and loving. he will take anyone back into his arms. this doesnt mean they have to be perfect for we were all sinful at birth and continue to be sinful. but it doesnt mean they shouldnt try to turn their life around either. if they love their lord they will do the best they can to follow his commandments. i mean these commandments were set for their own good. why not try to follow them?

Besides the fact that I question your 'stats', the only thing I can say is:

If they sincerely repented, and are genuinely living as Christians (having a right relationship with Christ) - irreguardless of the fact they find themselves in prison;

Yes, they will go to heaven.

R U jealous? lol

Forgiveness is forgiveness...If someone truly repents, irreguardless of how bad they "were" (*past tense*); God will forgive.

The key statement is "If someone truly repents" (that requires a desire to change, and remorse for one's sins, and the act of literally seeking God's forgiveness...)

God Bless.

Yes, everybody who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior will go to heaven. But there wouldn't be any sin in heaven.

I have heard that people jumping from the San Francisco, California Golden Gate Bridge. were still facing the city when they jumped to their death. There is always hope for Humans, and the Planet Earth.

I wonder why people work so hard to get their exit right.

Ummm..I doubt the figure is that high. Beyond that, many who profess in the "outer world" are either confused, or just saying a prayer, etc. Who's to say it would be any different in prisons? Many would say it to get parole, or attempt to avoid the death penalty. Regardless, if they truly repent and believe on Jesus, they will be saved.

You sound as if you do not want them to go. It is not for us to say, but only the Lord can see what is truly in their hearts. Paul was the chief of all sinners killing Christians, but Jesus turned him around, what's the difference. Yes, if they have truly accepted Christ then I will see them there!
