Learn how to do without.
Without going out to eat
Without buying expensive cuts of meat
Without going to the movies
etc....
Learn to do without the extras so you can have that precious time with your child.
Don't forget how much it costs to work once you have a child.
Cloth dipers v disposable
formula v breast
DAYCARE!!!!
Sometimes if you just look at the cost of working, depending on how much you take home, you may not be able to afford to work.
Good Luck with this and God Bless you and your baby.

my husband and I have been putting money back every week since the first of the year so that we can afford for me to take some extra time off work when we have a baby (we're trying but nothing yet....)
If you have any extra money leftover after you pay bills you can put it back and save it for use after the baby is born and you quit work. Also, do what one of the other posters said about cutting back on the "extras". you can also clip coupons for grocery shopping and things like that to make your income stretch a little farther.
good luck!

My sister-in-law worked this out by having a paper route. This way she did have some income but got to spend the majority of her time at home. She could always take the kids in the car with her if she needed to.

Baby sit for a couple of children. You can make anywhere from $75-$125 per child depending on where you live. Call around to daycare centers and get some prices.

A baby comes with it's own "bread and butter". Women are supposed to stay home with their children (if it is possible). A way will be made if you make an effort.
