besides Honda civic please, i already have one of those.
and im over the Prius already.

aveo by chevy gets very good mileage (~24-37, driving habits, ect.), as do VW jettas (~26-32), corrolas (~32+) are also excellent. saturn ions also do very well, up to 40 mpg, even more. hybrids, and kia rios are also good, but i dont know much about either.

Mazda 3's are good. The Civic is the best economy car though (the new one, that is). Also check out the new Honda Fit Sport.

I just got a new Mazda Miata MX5. I love it, but it's not good as an only car if you live where it snows.

You should buy a Prius my grandma has one and she loves it it has a gps thing that tells you where you are and where your going it tells your turn left 100 yards till right turn etc... and the gas consumption is really good like 50 miles to a gallon.

I don't know how you can be over the Prius. Its still the best thing out there.

Ford Focus and the Fusion gets good gas mileage as well, plus it looks great!

well American cars stink when it comes to mpg. I would go with a hybrid car from Honda if I had the money to do so.
