There isn't a simple yes/no answer.
Do you mean the plot of the book? Of course not.
Do you mean the background theory that has the fundies panties in a knot? To a certain degree, yes. The theories that Brown presented are not new, and have some supporting evidence. He simplified and distorted them to fit his narrative, which as a fiction writer is well within his rights.
