Even if God made Adam and Eve completely separately and they weren't related.. their kids were related as brothers and sisters and procreated with each other to continue the human race. So, if the Adam and Eve story is true, every time you have relations with anyone on this planet you are committing incest.

Incest is not a bad thing. What is bad though is that reproduction with relatives gives the offspring (the new baby) no chance to get a variety of genes. If your family say has a history of diabetes, then the baby will automatically have a huge chance of being a diabetic. Marrying someone else and having a baby with them would give the baby a much less chance of getting diabetes. The law makes it illegal to not promote such a thing that would give a baby an unfair chance of getting other genes. Plus if you think about it, its a little gross.

Look more into your interpretation... Adam and Eve were not the first people created, there were already tribes at the time, but they were the first with souls... If you understand anything about genetics, you would know that they could not have created a population from themselves with no others.

Great question!! I wish I had the balls to challenge the 'Sisters' at school with your question! don't know the answer though... the fact that they were obviously brother and sister since they were both God's children and should not have procreated makes their story absurd, as well as is the apple and snake story I think... I believe more in evolution, prehistoric times, the dinosaurs and homo sapiens... no place in my belief for naked people with lief and apple trees... even Robin Wood had a more important purpose in my eyes that these 2!! hehe (sorry I haven't answered your question!) Do you like apples??? Golden delicious are my favourites! ....stay away from your sister... I have got better apples... want to share one??

Adam and Eve were husband and wife. How do you get incest out of that?

I have never thought of them as being related..hmmmm But as for your question of making incest legal, this brings fourth allot more then what i think your ready for...I do think you should be able to love whom ever you choose, as for family though I'm sad to say I'm alittle closed minded on this subject because i feel its wrong.

No. See, they kind of HAD to do that, since there was no one else around. But by just a few quick generations, they could be distant enough (the cousins) to where no ill affects would be happening

This is not a real answer, this is rather a comment. I dont think that you should ask that kind of questions here, not because of the question itself, but because most of the people that read this are really closed minded and dont really think about the validity of your question, i mean we do everything that we are supposed to do according to the bibble. i am not for any side, but i just mean that people are not even going to think about this. they are blinded by the bible.

No the law against it was put forth by God much later. By that time it pretty much was much less common.
