Depends how you feel about the guy I guess. I know some people think an STD is cause for immediate dumping, but I just think that if you're close enough to be having sex with eachother in the first place then you're probably close enough to deal with this issue. Discuss what he's gonna do about it, get him sorted out and either abstain or be careful until he's cool. Good luck!

I can't say for sure what I would do as I have never had to deal with this.I have made sure I was tested before and had no problem asking my now husband to get tested.
I guess I would make sure I was clean first, find out all the facts about the std and use protection if I really cared about the person.

Praise the lord and then have a serious talk with that person. Nobody ever know how long someone may have an STD before it is found. With protection it may not have been transferred. So agains praise the lord and have serious talk.

Break up. There is only one way to get an STD.

How long have you been with this person? Did he/she cheat on you? If the std happened before you met and he/she didn't know he/she had it....please stay with them. Things happen. Now, if this person cheated on you and gave you the disease.....break it off now!

i wouldn't have sex with them anymore, that's for sure. if i was in love with the person, i would probably stay with them but if it was only a relationship that had been going on for like a week, I'd probably break it off. That's just too dangerous territory.

Unfortunately that's not what he said. It was "You're the cleanest woman I've ever been with." I learned my lesson right then and abstained until I found my husband!!! (Laser surgery to get rid of the warts was a real b*tch!)

Since I'm married... I'd be pissed. When my son was born, and tested postitive for herpies, I was a little concerned, but the second test came back negative, or at least not the sexually transmitted type. (Apperently there's a weaker, non-sexually transmitted type that can be transmitted skin-to-skin.)

I'd count my blessings! if it was curable stay with him, if its not, peace out!
Plus appreciate he/she told you at all, a lot of people are embarrassed or just plain a$$holes and never tell their partner. At least you were respected.
