how do u initiate conversation with a girl you don't know?

I like a girl that works at my university computer lab. she smiles whenever i come in, but i'm too shy to ask her out.

Just go up to her and talk to her......just say hi and how are you and whats your name.........dont try to a "cool guy" with their lame games that doesnt work......be you and if its meant to be she'll like you too and who knows what will happen from there on.....

Try getting to know her a little first. Just smile and introduce yourself. For example, you could tell her you have a lab question..then say oh my name is so and so...etc..or..you could just introduce yourself cold turkey.
