Try to find common interests with your sister. I have older sisters, and growing up we fought constantly. As I got older I realized that communicating, through talking or sharing interests is a good idea. Spend more time with your sister.

She probably loves you but sometimes older sisters resent the chances younger sisters get. They always talk about how when it was them, they didn't stay out this late, or didn't get to do all those things. Your sister is family, so in the end she does care about you, and spending time with her, shopping , watching movies, or talking would be great. Ask her for advice, big sisters love that! Good luck.

She loves you, she just can't share a living space with you (or probably anyone else). There could also be a jealousy factor here in that you are younger, might have a talent she wishes she had, or she may think that you are brighter/prettier/more popular/whatever. It could also be that you're growing up and becoming different people. You don't have to have anything in common with a person, or even like them, to love them. You can love them anyway. Give her time, once she's older and you're older, and you both have separate lives and your own space, you will be amazed how much easier it is to get along.

older siblings can be over protective.... but more importantly we must know the reason!

The thing is elder siblings have made a lot of mistakes.... you know the way first time you do something youre not so good. well for your parents the first child is like a trial experiment. Then elder siblings learn from their mistakes and at the same time they try to be extra hard on you so that you dont end up making the same mistakes they did. they want you to be "perfect" but things are never perfect are they. To each individual their own faults!!

Forget about it iPod, she's not going to change. Move on and enjoy your friends who you picked. You're stuck with your family.
