I don't think cats with rabies vomit. Cats don't have very good digestive systems... maybe she ate something that didn't agree with her. My cat kept doing that though and he had FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus.. aids) :( if she keeps it up I think you should take her to the vet. He showed no other signs of any disease other than being thin. It's not often that female cats get it since male cats get it from fighting. Either way if she keeps vomiting you should get it checked out. My cat vomited very very often for like 2 days before I took him.

Severe or chronic vomiting is serious. It can lead to secondary problems, particularly dehydration and disturbances in the levels of electrolytes (salt etc.) in the blood.
You need a vet NOW if this is the situation..
Vomiting may begin with the cat appearing restless. The cat may lick its lips, salivate and repeatedly swallow. Vomiting itself involves contractions of the abdominal muscles which may be repeated.
It is also best to know the difference between vomiting, regurgitation, and hair ball expelling.
You must know if the cat is eating,if there has been weight loss,if there has been any blood in the vomit, any pain or distress, whether faeces are being passed, the frequency of vomiting any offensive odour to the vomit, what the cat has been fed, any recent change of diet, any possible access to other foods or other substances, any treatment given recently, other cats in the household are affected.
Go see your vet NOW, if the kitten is truely sitting there in one spot and repeatedly vomiting.

as far as i know vomiting is not a sign of rabies, and your cat would have needed to have direct contact with the raccoon (like a bite). vomiting can be a sign of many things - upset stomach, dietary indescretion, foriegn body, intussuception, and others. a visit to the vet is in order. vomiting can also cause your cat to get dehydrated quickly so go see your vet to decide on the best course of action :)

no she wouldn't catch rabies unless she came in direct contact with the animal, like saliva or bite. This is shedding season for cats, she might have massive furballs. What is the vomit like, I know thats gross, but is it food? a tangley mess of furr? yellow liquidy or just sorta like spit? Food it could be she ate old food or something she wasn't supposed to or was allergic to, if it is fur, you need to get a hairball ointment and start brushing her. If it's yellow and bile like, it's usually the end of the sickness or kidney problems, either way, spit like is just something was stuck in the throat. If she is not better tomorrow and can take down water and some food, get her to the vet, could be an obstruction in the intestine and serious.

Did she eat anything unsual?? Out of her diet?? Cause it has happened to my cat once. It was because we changed her food. She was eating chicken flavored before then when we began to give her fish flavored she vomited for days. But you say you say a racoon too. I do not think rabies cause vomiting but I suggest you take her to the vet. Better be safe than sorry. I hope she will be ok soon. Good luck...

Only your veterinarian can tell you for sure what is going on. Take her within the next day or two.
