Dude, I'm so sorry. Don't stress about it, but never invite these people to a party again. Only invite other friends one or two at a time and have a nice mini-party.
They were super rude. You don't have to acknowledge their lack of etiquette, but you can sarcastically tease them ONCE if you know you can tease them w/o feeling hurt.

What the h*ll happened to him??? He knew about the party, right? Not like it's supposed to be a suprise party? That's messed up!
Are you wanting him to spend time with you in lieu of rent? I mean, I'd be upset about the party too....but it also sounds like you're upset that he isn't around at ALL. Have you tried talking to him about it?
Tell him you went to a lot of trouble to throw this party, and that you wish he would be more respectful. Give him some time to straighten up. If he doesn't, it's time to find somewhere else to live....maybe you'd be better friends than roomates.

I'd say you definitely have reason to feel used, I think your rent free tenant needs to here whats on your mind, because this person doesn't sound to respectful to leave you in the dark like that, communication is the only way of working things out between two people.

Maybe they all decided to go to the gay bar instead. But you need to say something to this guy. There is no excuse for him not showing up. You are being used. Tell him to start paying some rent or get out.

No one showed up? Why not? Tell your friend that he has 3 months to find a new place and move out. That will be more than enough time, and you won't look like you are evicting him.

Wow, that sucks. Only thing you can do is stop letting him use you. Tell him you have family coming to stay with you and he needs to go. We all have things we have to do but to not show up at a party thrown for you sure is selfish.

That's a total drag man. I guess you should reconsider the term "friend" when you describe him... he sounds like a jerk.
