What can I use instead of parsley in a recipe.? I'm trying to do something nice for my wife (see my "more sex than my wife" question.)

You don't say what you are making for dinner, which makes it tough to suggest a spice.I've found that a little summer savory or some sweet basil is an excellent herb for almost anything.

You do not want to substitute any strong herbs like rosemary or oregano. Parsley is very bland. Smell all of your dried herbs and see which one is the weakest.

Have a lovely evening with your wife!

Parsley is very very mild ... if you do not have any just skip it as it will make little difference in most things. Substituting another herb will drastically change your recipe.

Hey, I have found that cilantro is far better than parsley. I use it in all salads, and alot of other dishes. What are you trying to make?

Hi: Cilantro has a nice 'lemon edge,' but is closest to parsley.

Try more common, similar herbs like basil or corriander. It doesn't really matter, whichever taste that you prefer would work. Always make sure your herbs are fresh and clean though.
