I have a google Adsense account and I was required to file a W-9 form when doing so. Now 28% of my earnings are automatically taken out of my payment checks from Google. Will I be able to get any of this money back at tax time? I am not exempt. Is there any way to make sure that I do get some money back? 28% seems like a lot for them to be taking from my checks!

The exact answer is, well maybe. Just like the taxes that are withheld from your pay check, the amount with held is paid in to your taxes withheld account. When you files your taxes, when it is all said and done, you come up with the amount of taxes you owe. If you have had more with held from your pay check and back up with holding, you will get a refund. If the amount with held was not enough to pay your takes, you will have to send in more money.

Depends on your dependants, deductions and if you qualify for any credits. you may get some of it back or you may not. usually the 28% should cover you pretty well if you only get your personal exemption and the standard deduction. you may get a little back or you may owe a little if this is the case.
