This is a good MD5 checksum tool for Windows that I use for some of the forensic work that I do. It's easy and free .. the best kind.

I'm not sure. I think you need to view the properties, but's it's been a LONG time since I've used Windows.
Check the "Help" section on your computer and enter Checksum in the window. That should help you.

There isn't one by default, but Miscrosoft has a utility that will do it for you online to download, it runs at the command prompt.
