^Why are you asking me this, and why would you consider taking advice from a complete stranger? Don't you find that more than a little strange.
You've already made the decision. You are posting the question to give yourself the support you obviously need to follow through.

You make it sound like your relationship is a matter of convenience and he is disposable.
You should stay with him if you care about him.
You say you have to move. Did you consider him before making your decision?
When you call him your boyfriend, are you saying that because he is someone you have sex with, or do you have a relationship with?
If he is just a sex partner for you then you can get those anywhere.
If he is someone that you have a relationship with then you need to include him in your decisions about where your going to be in a years time.
If you dont have a strong enough bond then you should not be with anyone until you grow up and realize what the purpose of a relationship is.

you guys are better off friends and if you guys can keep a long distance friendship then maybe you guys can pick up where you left off later on.

Long distance relationships are very difficult to maintain, without a very high level of commitment. It's probably time to mutually agree to end it.
