Why?

I would not beg or steal.I have been homeless and yet I still managed to find work doing something.I never had to beg or steal. But if I had to choose I would beg from churches and other organizations known for helping the poor.Never would I beg from a stranger in this day and age.

I suppose a beggar would have a better chance of getting into heaven. However, if one is truly obedient to God, they are not likely to become a beggar or a thief. - Psalm 37:25

Thief...there's at least fun in that. Beggars just sit there and hardly get anything. Being a thief would still be moving forward in some way.

Even if I was down on my luck, I could always get a free meal at the Salvation Army, or the Mission, or some other place.

I could get "free clothes" at the Salvation Army or Goodwill.

I could live on the streets, or get a room at the Mission...

There is NO REASON, to be a THIEF!!

You are only a thief, if you want to take something that someone has, whether its because of greed or want. You dont need to be a thief, because you can get a meal, and clothes and a place to stay, so, you choose to do this on your own, and not out of necessity.

I wish you well..

Thief!
None respect the beggar!
All religions respect thieves!
According to Judaic religions, all people are descendants of a thief, Cain. No beggar plays any role!
Also, begging we do not bring luck back.

Hmm... being a thief would land me in jail and I'd be guaranteed meals and a safe place to sleep at night. On the other hand, being a beggar would be legal, and I'd have to trust in mankind's generosity. I think I'd be a beggar, but steal food from outdoor markets, or sidewalk cafes.

Beggars are breaking laws in many cities where they are subject to arrest, I would say a thief, because you are in control of your own destiny and have a better chance.

I think either would be bad, but Jesus forgave both. Lazarus, Jesus' best friend, was a beggar at one time and he was raised from the dead. Also, Jesus forgave (saved) the thief on the cross when he was being crucified. If this happens, I will just pray for the correct guidance and for the Lord to take care of me.

A beggar, because they get easy money without breaking the law (in most places). The average homeless person begging on the streets makes around ten more cents an hour than minimum wage.
