I'd really rather not work. I am just not suited to it.

Wow, how spoiled are you? If you don't get out there and work to make your own money, you'll never learn. You're going to end up being dependent on your parents forever. Do you want to be 40 years old and still living with your mommy and daddy?

No! As for the "I'm not suited to work" bit you're going to have to just get over it, because no one is going to just give you money. Or at least, no one should be just giving you money.Your parents have already given you the money, in a way, by taking care of you and sending you to school all these years so that you can go out and get a job and pay for yourself.

maybe they feel as though you should earn money rather than just giving it to you because if you earn your money then you will be better at handling your own money when you are older... I make my kids earn the money and it teaches them to save and take care of what they have.. if my grand parents had handed me money I would have never learned how to properly manage when I had to do things for myself.. because they arent always going to be around to give you money and because mostly children who are given things their whole life turn out to think that the world owes them and that they can have everything handed to them without having to work for what they have... and when you work for what you have you appreciate its value more... My grandparents also had lots of money... so I think its a good thing that you dont have everything handed to you.
I hope that wasnt to harsh but its the truth.... Im not trying to insult you or anything Im just giving you my opinion
try asking if you can earn the money and see what they say :)

Let's say what if something tragic happened....like they lost all their money, their possessions, and ended up in the welfare line...what would you do then? This is an uncertain world and in a blink of an eye you could lose everything. You have to have a plan for the future and learn to depend on yourself. Look at Ivana Trump...she was married to one of the richest men in the world and their world divided. She learned how to take care of herself and be successful on her own terms. I have heard of parents getting fed up with their kids sponging off of them and decide when to cut the purse strings by cutting up their credit cards, cutting off charge accounts, not handing over any money, and making their kids get a....what do you call it....oh yeah, a JOB!

Ask yourself "What have I done to deserve it?" I'm sure that if your parents worked all their lives as I did, BELIEVE ME, they want the best for you. Why do so many young people feel entitlement? Just because they "have money" (and by the way; what makes you think they are sooooooooo rich), doesn't mean that you are "due" it.

Would you rather they had aborted you? Since you seem to feel entitled to their money rather than earning it and building some character and worth of your own, then I'd guess they were wishing you hadn't been born....

I think you should give them a lot of money since they did bring you into this world! Why don't you go make your own money?!

No, they are doing you a favor by making you earn your own money. That way you will not be dependent the rest of your life.

Honey, nobody GIVES you anything in this world. You have to earn it. Your parents did.. why should they just give you money for doing nothing? You have to contribute something.. you must EARN whatever money you get.
