Castor oil is really unsafe and not only will it give you the runs, the baby can also pass meconium (their first poo) while in the womb. When they pass meconium they can go in distress, and that will cause all sorts of problems... I suggest doing some brisk walking, or even have sex...the semen contains the same hormone that doctors use in the gel to induce labour...good luck!

Castor oil is reasonably safe. To use it to induce labor will be frowned upon by many people who consider themselves in the know about such things. Why are you in a hurry? Normal pregnancy is 40 weeks. Are you uncomfortable?

NO NO NO

Do not try to induce labor yourself. The baby will come when the baby is ready to come. If labor needs to be induced let the doctors make the decision, and supervise the procedure. AND they don't use castor oil.

My mom's doctor told her to do that and it worked, but she said the stomach cramps were worse than the labor pains. Good luck! For me, raspberry tea, Taco Bell and long walks were all a waste of time.

No it is not safe. It is not a good idea at all. All it will do is give you diarrhea. 40 weeks is the normal full term delivery if they got your due date correct.

your not supposed to go into labor until week 40,you shouldn't worry or rush it, it'll come out when its ready. if you go farther then 40 weeks and still not in labor you should she your gyno. anyway, no kind of oil will help, it hasn't been proved to do anything.

a full term pregnancy is actually 37 to 41 weeks. You are at full term but let your doc decide when it is time. They wont let you go past 41 weeks.

Trying to force yourself into labor is a really bad idea. What is wrong with you? The baby will come when he or she is ready to come.

It's not a good idea. Natural is always better. Just wait longer, or discuss with your ob/gyn about having a c-section.

It is NOT safe. Besides a full term pregnancy is 39 weeks.... you'll have it. Just be patient.
