"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." It is a phrase that we do not often here, yet it is genesis of the earth and the genesis of us. You may be wondering "Why are we created?" Some people would say from an anthropocentric view (from man's perspective), "we have been reborn to grow up in Christ and to become more like Him." While some one may say from a theocentric view (from God's perspective), "We have been reborn to glorify God." The conclusion is we are to glorify God by growing up and becoming like Christ. It says in Ephesians 2:8-10, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no on can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

The ultimate meaning of life is in the mind of The Creator only--man can not assertain this knowledge any more clearly than a single brush stroke can explain the meaning of the artist that painted a picture---word

God created all people to be His people and to dwell with us in peace and harmony...

Sin separated man from God and all this time He has been implementing a plan to restore us to Him so that all things can be made new.

This is what Christ accomplished on the Cross.

Your life and anyone elses is the time to choose between ourselves (little gods with limited power) or Him (infinate power, wisdom, glory..the whole deal all the way around). In effect we are choosing to be recreated to live for eternity with a God who loves us..or to reject that and be destroyed in the end with all that is evil, wicked and against God.

So the choice is eternal life or eternal death.

Meanwhile we are here on this earth...that God created as evidence of His power and ability to bless our lives and teach us to be there for others...to give, to help, to love and to heal and spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is the only purpose to serve. Everything else is self seeking and once again we are back to serving ourselves as little gods. Me personally...I'd rather not be my own god..not real gifted in terms of...well, anything in comparison to the one true God. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

That is up to you. The meaning of life depends on the person who asks it. You need to find out for yourself to really understand it. You can also not let people brainwashing you to believe the same thing as they do.
