If you have photoshop there is a quick way to do it

Open image in photoshop

Create a new Hue/saturation layer mask (half black circle under layers pallette)

Check 'Colorize'

Drag the sliders until you get the desired color

Click Ok

Select the layer mask.

Select eraser tool

Erase everything but the item(s) to be colorized

photoshop or photo paints most of the shots youve seen have been hand painted

you can get special markers for that at jo-anns..and probably walmart in the scrapbooking section
