If he was God wouldn't he have healed the wounds. That would be proof. Having wounds just proves he didn't die on the cross. If I saw my friend brutally tortured and killed and then saw him 3 days later looking all brand new, I'd know something was going on. If I saw him walking around all bleeding and stuff, I'd just tell him to go to the hospital.

Apparently His other wounds were completely healed, and there was only marks left of the nails.

He probably did this so that His own disciples would know that it was Jesus and not an impostor or a ghost. His disciples still did not fully understand even at this point, who Jesus was.

They were not proof he was God because Jesus wasn't God.
He was the son of God.
The wounds (if you're referring to the account about Thomas)
simply demonstrated Jesus going the extra mile to prove to Thomas that he had indeed been resurrected.

Jesus, Christianity?

Think and answer, DO NOT PARROT OR QUOTE.

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Do Gods die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides a few hours of superhuman suffering was sacrificed?

What's the BIG deal?

David Blaine can do that on TV.

If you accept the Jesus story, would you also accept this one?

I gave all my money to Charity last Friday.

On Sunday, all the money was returned to me.

In three days he still had the wounds and pointed to his apostles. You fail to see the main reason for letting them crucify him. He healed others, brought people from death, feed the poor, gave sight to the blind, etc. etc.
He knew what was going to happen, and still let it happen, for us.
If you saw your friend walking around, he could be haunting you. Then, you got to ask yourself, what have I done to get my friend to visit me, is it that he loves me, or want to give you what you deserve. What a good friend! your friend will be wounded and you tell him go to the hospital! you wouldn't take him, and watch over him! Nice!

The wounds were proof that he was alive and raised from the dead. Being raised from the dead proved He was who He claimed to be: the Son of God.

The wounds on Jesus proved that God understands death and what we go through here on Earth.

I don't believe Jesus came in through the door in this instance, I believe that Thomas said he would not believe until he seen his wounds and touched his side.
