I am a middle class girl and I know a lot of rich people. I also now a lot of girls who act like I am invisible because I am not as rich as they are. Haven't their mothers taught them anything, everyone is equal. I just want to know what other people think.

Are we talking kids here? School aged? Well, I think your answer lies in Paris Hilton, for starters. They act like you are invisible? No problem. You'll be away from them once you graduate or change schools. Don't let them ruin who you are because you want them to like you. Do your own thing and live your own life, not the life they want you to live.

I allude to age because kids are kids. They are immature and don't know how to act. Some more than others.

Actually, their mothers have taught them to behave this way! It is a way of closing off opportunities to those with less. The stupid rich fear meritocracy because they just might be forced to face the fact that they aren't really justified in their position. There are some, however, that are wise and understand how their wealth was generated (unless won in a lottery or stolen). Even then you might have those that are aloof of the idea that developing a relationship with a customer because it creates a dual relationship.
Last, but not least is the pathology of self-justification that one must be rich because only people that deserve it would have it, which also convenient explains why you are not rich in their minds - that you must be morally inferior because otherwise you would be rich.

All of these psychological and philosophical issues do not justify the behavior. They are pompus. The pompus are destined for failure until they learn better because people like me will always hate them to the extent that we will not cooperate with them and will even sabotage them.

They think they are better because of being rich, they have more of something, then they get this scornful attitude towards others because they think "Oh, I am rich, I can do whatever I want and money will fix it". People like that get on my nerves too, but not all rich people are like that. I've seen people go from a regular life to being rich and then they acquire this new attitude that I don't like and others have been able to actually stay the same.

Maybe if you discover the answer, you will discover why so many other people are trying to get rich. You are mistaken to believe everyone is equal to the rich. Just wait until one of your relatives wins the big one in the lottery. You will quickly realize how insignificant one can be.

because most girls treat the rich ones like they're better than everyone else. i know it's annoying when they act so snobby, but just hold your head high and have confidence that you are SO much better than them just because you aren't such a brat.

All people are equal to me. But people with money are corrupt because of the money and it causes them to think like this. It is sad but its life.
