when i was 21 i was going out with a girl who was 16. we had a great relationship for almost 2 years and if i had a chance to do it all again i would. the only problem was that as she got older and matured we drifted apart but that can happen with any relationship no matter what age you are. give it a try but don't let him use his age and experience to get you to do anything you don't want to. good luck, hope all goes well

Look he aint a peadophile by the sounds of it...

And I have seen many 16 and 21 year old realtionships that were just fine and happy and lasted etc...

And many of the same age that didn't and others where their boyfriend or girlfreind of the same age was a jerk...

Most likely he aint dated that much so experience wise you may be similar... Probably still into the same music and stuff so whats the problem?

Thats from a 33 year old who has seen many people that age date...

At worst as the guy on the end said you may get bored of each other and grow apart, maybe not.

As you could someone your own age... The parents here saying he is way too old are probably the samekind who sadi to him bnot to date till older so he did not mature so well as others... little more then that...ie he may be shy...

A peadophile is manipulative and preditory...(ie say he likes the same stuff as you when he does not just to get with you and is not nice inside) those genuinely dating those younger all in the open voluntarily are not.

And many married couples have far bigger age differences.

So dont be so daft if you two make each other happy go for it, if he proves to be a jerk dump him... same as anyone else.

In fact he is probably better to be with as not so stupid as others your age and less likly to get you in trouble.

The other participants are right with respect to Kentucky g's answer. Just remember that you can not reverse loosing your virginity and the first time you have sex you will never forget. For that reason, I would suggest that you make sure it is someone who is right for you. You're going to really like lots of men in your life, trust me, he is the first of many. What's the rush? You would be best to do everything opposite of Kentucky g's answer because he is a pedophile who likes babies and little girls. He is an example of why not to have sex with someone older. Do you realize that the man could be charged with rape as the age difference between you to is too much? If he is a decent person and cares about you, he should be willing to wait. All the best, hope you make a good decision.

It's way too old. Probably the ones telling you to go for it are your age. The ones telling you it's too old are probably my age (34 and mother of 2). At 21, he's able to do a lot of things more than likely that you're not and you better believe he'll be doing them, probably without you.

You should not listen to our Kentucky friend. He is believed by many on this site to be a pedophile. Stay away from any advice he may give. Keep safe young lady!

It's not too old; it's only 5 years. Just watch what you do with him sexually because it may get him in a lot of trouble.

WELL I THINK YOUR ARE TOO YOUNG "RIGHT" NOW...I MET MY HUSBAND IN 1964 I WAS 18 HE WAS 23...THE SAME SPAN
AS YOU AND YOUR FRIEND, BUT YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT WHAT YOU CAN LEARN IN JUST "2" SHORT YEARS...GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO GROW A LITTLE MORE IN MIND AND ATTITUDE AND YOU MIGHT JUST REALIZE YOU HAVE MOVED ON...GOOD LUCK
