Take a hair vacation. Basically you have overprocessed your hair. There is no quick fix for this. I am struggleing with the same problem.

1. Take Vitamens. Make sure they contain Biotin. Most hair & nail vitamens do.

2. Frequent hair cuts, you have to keep cutting off all the dead stuff.

3. Lay off the heat products. Keep the hot irons, blow dryers to a minimum if you can.

4. Deep Condition, at least once a week.

5. Use good products!!!!! This is soooooooo essential. Drug store brands will not work. Go to a hairdresser and let them reccomend what is good for your hair. You need to take care of te hair that is left.

6. No chemical processing. My problem was bleach. I highlighted my hair and now I have alot of breakage. Whatever it is that you were doing to your hair, you have to stop. I now use very low amonia/peroxide deposit only hair colors.

Its gonna be a long process. I did try a product recently that has helped me deal with the condition of my hair. Its called Emergencie by Nexxus. It really helped to smooth the hair shaft and make a little bit stronger. I'm hoping that If I continue using it, it will help with the breakage.

I'm so sorry to hear your bad fortune. My advise for you: Get some good conditioner, put it in your hair while wet or dry, then leave it in for a day or to. I know the people in the middle-east use oil all the time in their hair to keep it healthy. To make your hair thicker get your hair cut frequently until the perm part is all cut off. Good Luck to you!

Trade your cotton pillowcases for satin. When you sleep on cotton, your hair gets snagged and tangled on the cotton fibres. That gives you bed-head which is basically knots and it breaks your hair when you brush/comb it. On satin, your hair slides around all night--- no knots, no snags, less damage. And the less damaged your hair is, the less it will break under normal brushing/styling.

Get a good conditioner (shampoo too but conditioner is most important). Nexxus, Biolage, Graham Webb, Matrix... something from a salon.

A clear cellophane treatment (by a professional) every few weeks would help a lot too, because it kind of fills in the "cracks" in your hair and helps prevent breaking.

I have darkish brown thick hair evidently. When it's darkish brown it appears healthful, glossy, and appears like I have much less hair & thinner. Thats simply an phantasm, style of like whilst you put on black garments, you appear thinner. When I get relatively blonde highlights far and wide, it appears relatively thick, broken, and appears like I have a ton of hair and you'll see each and every layer and perspective. a million.) Dark brown skinny hair doesnt appear dangerous. two.) Dark hair wont relatively make your hair appear thicker when you've got skinny hair to start with. There are alot of goods in the market to make your hair appear extra volumized similar to shampoos. Also be certain you're taking a diet every day and devour correct vitamins. Your hair gets more fit.

Folic Acid. It's found in pre-natal vitamins. You can purchase Folic Acid over the counter at any drugstore. It will also help your nails grow. Be sure to read the label and take with meals because it is quite strong!
