Racist no, prejudiced yes. Any jokes involving color and sterotypes.......not funny at all. Your friend probably laughed because he felt uncomfortable and instead of telling you, you were out of line he decided to play it off. Maybe you should sit down and have a discussion with him about what it's really like to be a black man.

No it's funny but only in the right company.
If you feel comfortable saying it around your black friends. Then tell it but dont say it around just your white friends- that means your a closet racist.

i dont like it .anything can be cinsidered racist .
im white i dont like jokes .im not to thrilled with
people putting anyone down.im way to sensivitive.
i have a guilty contious.if im not offensive on purpose
thats good. if i offend some one and know ive been
offensive i will make amends.sometimes i dont

it's racist only if you take it racially - if somebody wants to get offended - nothing you can do will stop them. Ther joke may be considered in poor taste, but I'd not classify it as racist.

it a sterotype that places a label on black men you know what it was when you asked it ... i didnt laugh. but becareful who and where you tell it . your friend knew you meant no malice by it but i bet you wouldnt tell that joke in room of black men you didnt know! Peace daddysr2003
