I have done this on a Macintosh, using Excel, but not using Access.

You have to
Create the data base file ( name it)
and
set up the data base fields to be in the same order as the spreadsheet fields.

Then you can copy the whole spreadsheet into the data base.

it is worth taking the time to see if you can make it happen.

It is possible to import an excel file into access. Just go to access and open the database you want to import the file. Go to FIle, Get external data, import. At the File window, select or browse for the excel file you want to import and change files of type to excel.

It sure is. There are several ways.

In Excel, you can use the Export function to create a CSV or Comma Delimited file which can be easily imported into Access. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Access can even READ XLS (excel) files directly.

Go to the Tables tab in Access and right-click. There it will say "Import", then select your Excel spreadsheet and follow the Wizard. That should do it.

Yes, you can. But, I don't remember how. I do know that you can go to www.gcflearnfree.org, sign up for FREE, and you can learn all about computer software, how to use it, etc. You can learn by each chapter, or go in succession and receive a certificate at the end. You can do it at your own pace, or take a class.

This is just an idea of where you might find the information you need. Good luck!

As long as your columns and data types match, you can just copy and paste.
