awww... she's playing with you. yeah, they don't know that their claws hurt, that's why. i've actually had a kitten chase me down... distract it with another toy. i usually put a string at the end of a ruler or pen, and let her chase the string around. that'll distract her.

In my house, 6 weeks is getting a little old to have front claws. You could probably get some of those claw cover things if you don't want to declaw. Not sure about the teeth thing. Kittens play, Buy a few new cat toys...maybe one of those fishing pole style things with a toy at the end, or a peacock feather. Those are cheep, and you'd be hard pressed to find a cat that doesn't go nutz over them. Give him a new outlet to bite and scratch.

Put the kitten in a bag and put it up to the exhaust pipe of your car. Then go rev the engine for a few minutes. In a bit the kitty will be dead and no longer biting and scratching you.

it's the age lol they are very playful, should outgrow it but to help nip it in the bud, start saying sharply NO and pick up the cat and set it back down away from your legs. For biting, say no, push away lightly with the palm of your hand to the face, veryyyy lightly. You can also lightly tap the nose, those are things the momma cats normally do to teach little ones NO. Best to reinforce the NO now while little.

In the 6 week stage, that is what the kittens do. They will get out of out soon or later.

thats all part of the fun of having a kitten, when it tries bitting you grab a toy or something so that it can chew on that instead, also try getting one of those scratching posts which you can buy from catalogues and pet shops etc.hope this helps the pain!

I clip my cats claws with nail clippers, so you could try that to ease the pain. also i would suggest getting a scratching post and saying NO! when he/she bites you...it'll get the message.........hopefully
