There is going to be people answering seriously aren't there?Okay, cola nuts where not indigenous to the area. Jesus was a terrible alcoholic. He was always in contact with the spirits. He was at a wedding and started to get delirium tremors real bad. His hands were shaking and he was turning people into lepers unintentionally. He needed wine now! He held off until the late 1930's to start Alcoholics Anonymous.

Because wine was the socially accepted drink at such an occasion. The masters of the party thought the wine he created was the best wine they'd had all night. Can you imagine what they would have said if he'd created that caramel-colored battery acid we call soda? "PPPPFTT-- G-d, what is this stuff? Mary, keep your kid away from the kitchen, will ya?"

It was their culture to drink wine.
Wine, water...maybe a little hot cocoa with marshmellows on cold nights.

Making Coca-Cola would have created a trademark infringement issue.

Because thats what they were drinking at the wedding. I'm sure if they were drinking coke by then and it ran out, He would have made it instead of wine...

...we definitely want only the real thing.
