Anointed, you are proving yourself...I do have a few very select friends, caffiene is still legal in this country, and at least I did manage to quit the weed habit years ago, no thanks to any religion, even paganism.

conradmex, I happen to be one of the few unflooded here in N.O. By the way, you are one of the more cordial Christians here in Yahoo Answers. I do read your answers.

They are false Christians. Jesus said "not everyone saying Lord, Lord will inherit the kingdom" because he knew that there would be people claiming to represent him who are actually false to him. He also said "by their fruits you will recognize them". True Christians are mild and refreshing like Jesus was and they do not go to war and kill others either.

I have met many Christians who are not. I'm told that I am what I pay attention too. If there are 100 Christians and 1 pisses me off then I talk about the 1. Now I have been coming on this yahoo web answer site for awhile now, and the truth from what I see hear is that the only ones attacking anyone are the atheists and the pagans picking on Christians. Then the Christians usually the nutty sort of christian responds. I have met many Christians who Talk about there God. I have yet to meet a pagan who talked about there Gods or Goddess. They usual just ***** and moan about the Christians. That's the honest truth.

Hey there pagan earthgirl! I can't understand the hatred and vitriol from either the Christians or the Atheists for that matter. I don't think that we were put on the earth to convert other people to our beliefs and that it's okay for everyone to have a different opinion. Otherwise it would be a kind of boring world, wouldn't it?

Anyway, I really replied to tell you I love your avatar. LOVE cats, especially black cats. Mine just died 2 weeks ago, he was 18 and I miss him a lot.

Thanks!

Why is it that christians are the only ones expected to be kind and courteous? It really should go both ways.

A good part of it is that they are nominal christians. They think that the name is sufficient without making a full commitment; kind of like a shack-up relationship.

I am glad that there are still a few christians who do try to live according to Bible standards, even "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Mat 5:44) Use this verse when confronted by hateful "christians".

or they have been hurt and to alleviate that they hurt others.
But thoes qualities are human it has nothing to do with religion even though they use religion as an excuse.

Because they haven't learned the way of Jesus. They have learned the way of some 2-bit preacher man who learned incorrectly or wants to keep you in the fold donating money.
