How do you get rid of head lice?

i need something that won't leave a smell works fast and that will get rid of the eggs and the adults.

USE MAYONNAISE AND LET IT SIT, IT SUFFOCATES THEM,THEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE PICK OUT THE EGGS AND THE VERY TINY BUGS ON YOUR SCALP.THEY ARE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A LITTLE DOT AND SOME ARE ALMOST CLEAR OR TRANSPARENT .WHILE YOU ARE DOING THIS, WASH EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE AND SPRAY FOR THEM ON BEDS ,PILLOWS,EVERYTHING WASH YOUR BRUSHES IN HOT BOILING WATER,GET RID OF HAIR TIES.THEN WHEN YOUR DONE W/THAT PUT GREASE IN YOUR HAIR AND KEEP DOIN THAT. THEY CANT STAND A DIRTY HEAD. THEY LIKE CLEAN HEADS. AND AFTER THAT DONT WASH YOUR HAIR FOR A WHILE KEEP THAT GREASE IN IT.

yikes! Head lice, not fun. Well, don't use a home remedy, they don't work, they only smother some of the lice, but don't actually kill the knits. Go to your local drug store and ask a pharmacist what brand is the most reliable. Use that sucker for a few days, and in no time you'll be bug free.
Also, don't forget to wash all of your clothes, vacuum your rugs, and to change your bed sheets, (basically, run around the house like a mad man and clean!) becuase lice can live shortly on the surfaces of your home, and you'll never get rid of them if you don't do a thorough cleaning. Good luck!

While the Dr, will Rx you a formula similar to RID, an OTC lice & nit remover.. It still seems almost impossible, despite best efforts with the included comb, to get rid of the nits. They old standby technique used WITH a rid like medication, is this...
After using the chemical treatment AND the comb, Use approx 1 jar of mayo and coat the hair, root to tip. Then go over EXTREMLY well with the comb.Rinsing it periodically. This WILL do the trick! Happy Hunting!

Neem leaves--- Azadirachta indica. its a home made remedy....think this will help. boil it or use it as it is by making a paste and applying on ur head. leave it for an hour or two.shampoo
