umm... there is this guy at my school and did that and it worked it stayed 4 about 1 month. try using light colors like blond and orange or use bold colors like punk red and blue. u shouldent use discreet colors like brown and bunt orange- they probably wont show w/ ur hair color. or if htis could be a possobility it works, buy the procolor accents by conair(they sell it at clairs)and use it daily (it only produces highlights but it works on any type of staight hair no matter the color- it is also fast so u cand do it befoer work or school). or u can buy color chalk at salons, (i know its for bois but i hear it works. it only lasts for like 2 days)

hope i helped

Any semi-permanent color will not show well on dark hair because the color itself is transparent. The best way to think of it is like the colored Saran wrap. If you want color to show up on your hair you are going have to use a permanent color because permanent color can both lift color out and deposit a new color. Even if you are not looking to go lighter this will defiantly change the tone of your hair.

Dark hair is pretty you should stick with it. Unfortunately, the only way to achieve the color on the box is if you bleached your hair first, and then dyed it. I definitely don't recommend that. I think most women's problem with their hair is that they dyed it once and now they have to keep dying it because of their roots. If I were you I would be glad that I didn't use permanent or bleach. They really damage your hair. If you have your heart set on it then I would agree with the person that said go to a professional.

First bleach ur hair with a light bleach not to heavy this will lighten your color then put the color on ur hair
because i have the same problem if your hair is a dark brown use a light brown then pick your color u want or you can use a light dirty blonde then put your color on

semi-permanant hair colors don't have any peroxide in them, which is what can make your hair go from darker to lighter. some lines like clairol natural instincts have a system to show you which colors will show up on dark hair. if you want it to be lighter however, i would suggest going to a salon and having a professional color your hair. i've used permant dye at home in the past and it has come out in a disaster.

If your hair is very dark you won't see any hi-lights if the color isn't right. Maybe a permenent highlight would look nice, but go to the hairdressers for the color as they have many techniques. You don't want it to look orangey if you have red pigments. Don't be afraid to experiment. I've been coloring my hair for over 40 years. Different colors, etc. (What is "Crisisgay"'s problem???)

If you want to go semi perm so you can change the color often I would lighten your hair first by using a perm color like blonde or light brown, then reapply the semi perm color...

But be aware that you will fry your hair if you do that, not advisable, but it will work.

Semi-permamnent color usually does not show up in hark hair- you might get a tint of the color that is noticeable when you are out in the sun. If you want color to show up, you will have to get your hair bleached.

You can strip the natural color out of your hair first with hydrogen proxide and then apply the color.

I have never used Hydrogen Peroxide on my hair so don't know the exacts of how to do it but have seen others that have done it. Nephew included. I think he just applied the peroxide to the sections of his hair he wanted to color. (he wanted purple highlights mixed with his black hair).
