In hoc signo vinces is a Latin phrase that means "in this sign you shall conquer."

I'm not sure why it's on a pack of cigarettes though.

It makes the pack more interesting with a latin motto... I guess that's what they think. Marlboro has a latin motto too: Veni vidi vici (We came, We saw, We won)!
