Just that a cold shower, unless you are a guy with a hard on and no way to releive it. then a cold shower is said to help bring down the erection.

A cold shower is what a person takes when they have been worked up sexually by something or some one, and they have to take a cold shower to "calm down". :o)

An actual shower in nothing but cold water. You hear people say that to someone when they feel they should cool off from either being pissed or being sexually excited. It is supposed to calm you back down, cold water has a non-sexual affect on most people.
