Why would it be a red flag? Tattoo artists can make good money, if that's what you are worried about.

Why? Are you afraid he'll try to tattoo you? He's just an artist for crying out loud, not a torturer or a deviant.

Why do you say that for? Is it because of the type of job he does or is it because your family don't like him because he is a tatoo artist? If he treats you right then stay with him.

welll if you love him guess not ... but if you don't want to end up like actually gettin a thousand of tattos in very odd places, and i think you know wut i mean, i don't think it is a very good i dea
