This web site, obviously Islamic friendly, states in the first paragrah that Mushaf of Othman is the definitive version.

So, how many are there?

Anyone who answers 1 is just a complete idiot. There are at least 4 known in the world to have existed, but only 2 left, the one you have, and one in a british museum. What happened to the others? The mulsims rioted, and burned them.

How many do you know existed, currently, or in the past.

They are given what they "need" by their teachers in their faith.

They like to say that the Bible has been "changed" by man, but offer no evidence other than, the Koran said so.

As far as the different versions of the bible, we know they are just changed in the language, or use of words, and changes no meaning what-so-ever, but they dont care.

They take one little aspect, and beat it until its dead. Whether it is true in the sense they are claiming or not.

I'm not Islamic, but brought up in a Christian household, so here's my take

Consider my religion's holy book, the Bible (This may not be a good analogy - I'm not sure, have only seen one copy of the Qu'ran), then there are various translations of the original Aramaric and Hebrew of the Bible - so I'd suggest there may be different versions of the Koran too. The webpage http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qur'an seems to agree (although I appreciate this is not really a definitive source). Basically it seems to come down to whether if a text says "you" or "thee" is it different...

there is only one version of the Koran. This is because the original Koran was written all at once and didn't have to be assembled. There are no official translations of the Koran that are considered to be canon.
