The green tea is good for the stomach, if you drink a cup of green tea it will give you a intense stomachache, after 3 - 6 hours you will go directly to the bathroom to satisfy your needs.

Once you've already went to the bathroom, you'll feel much better, you will not be hungry and you will feel a relaxing feeling and perhaps you will get asleep.

But be careful the stomachache of this tea is very painful, Never drink this tea if you are sick or if you have a chest, belly pain.
It can be very painful for your health if you drink it in this situation.

And also when you try to drink this tea, do it in weekends, because you will need to go to the bathroom and maybe you know...............

Well drink it , it's very helpful.

Regards

some people use it to "lose weight" because it "cleans out your system". It has more caffeine than a lot of other kinds of tea, and I know (unfortunately from experience) that if you drink too much of it in a short span of time, that you can get really jittery and even sick to your stomach...a little here and there is good for you, but too much isn't pretty.

Many studies have investigated a link between the consumption of green tea and a lower incidence of a range of cancers in populations. More information can be found in the section on green tea in the article Health benefits of tea.

Green tea has been claimed to be useful for:

Cognition
Stopping certain neurodegenerative illnesses such as Alzheimers
Preventing/ treating cancer
Treating Arthritis
Treating MS
Preventing the degradation of cell membranes by neutralizing the spread of free radicals (which occurs during the process of oxidation)
Increases fat oxidation (helps the body use fat as an energy source) and raises metabolism. These are two things that are predictive of weight loss. [1]
Preventing lowered T-Cells due to HIV - In lab tests, EGCG, found in green tea, was found to prevent HIV from attacking T-Cells. However, it is not known if this has any effect on humans yet. [2]
A comprehensive review of the knowledge on green tea and its health benefits in particular is freely available at [3]

Another source categorizing the latest research by weight loss, cancer and other health conditions is freely available at [4]

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has rejected claims of health benefits for green tea. [5]

"There is no credible scientific evidence that drinking green tea reduces the risk of heart disease".
"FDA concludes there is no credible evidence to support qualified health claims for green tea or green tea extract and a reduction of a number of risk factors associated with CVD" (cardiovascular disease).
The FDA previously has said that green tea likely does not reduce breast, prostate or any other type of cancer risk.
In spite of the FDA's claims, Green Tea's medicinal benefits have been described for over 1000 years. The Kissa Yojoki, or Book of Tea written by Zen priest Eisai in 1191, describes how drinking green tea can have a positive effect on the five vital organs, especially the heart. The book discusses tea’s medicinal qualities which include easing the effects of alcohol, acting as a stimulant, curing blotchiness, quenching thirst, eliminating indigestion, curing beriberi disease, preventing fatigue, and improving urinary and brain function. Part One also explains the shapes of tea plants, tea flowers and tea leaves and covers how to grow tea plants and process tea leaves. In Part Two, the book discusses the specific dosage and method required for individual physical ailments. Objectively speaking, skepticism of green tea's medical benefits would not be the first time an ancient medical remedy practiced successfully in Asia was initially called into question by the Western Medical Establishment. The FDA cannot be characterized as an infallable resource either [6].

The reason Green tea & White Tea have more polyphenol antioxidants than other teas is because of the way they are processed. The health benefits of these teas are derived from the light processing of the leaves which maintain the ingredients like Catechin that research is now demonstrating to be beneficial. White & Green tea are often steamed or pan fired rather than being semi-fermented (oolong) or fermented (black tea). Fermentation leaches out some of these beneficial ingredients in the same way that frying food tends to reduce nutrient value that steaming does not. It should be no surprise that steamed green tea also maintains more of its polyphenol antioxidant profile than pan-fired green tea as well.

[edit]
Drinking more than 2 cups a day could protect against Alzheimer's
In a 2006 study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Vol. 83, pp 355-361) showed that elderly Japanese people who drank more than 2 cups of green tea a day had a 50 per cent lower chance of having cognitive impairment than those who drank less or who consumed other tested beverages[7]Green tea has 67.5 mg catechins per 100ml, (which could explain the results). White tea has more catechins than green tea, however, white tea was not tested in the study, possibly due to the more expensive price of white tea in comparrison to the cost of green tea.

When green tea should be avoided
Avoid drinking green tea or at least talk to your doctor before taking green tea if you have:

heart problems
high blood pressure
kidney disease
hyperthyroidism
nervous disorder
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant
