Absolutely! Not only is it nutritious and high in fiber, but it helps lower your cholesterol. It also stays in your tummy longer so you won't get as hungry. Really pep up the oatmeal by adding raisins. That will give you more potassium.

Oatmeal is great as long as it is not instant. Pretty much any food that is high in fiber and protein will fill you up and keep you healthy. It is the simple carbs you want to stay away from. Good luck!!

oatmeal is very good for this if you don't add crap - if you use the instant packages you get one serving and you know how many calories and fat there are in it. It fills you for a long time and is healthy for you. Other good low cal type foods are yogurt, salad, beans, tofu,fruits and veggies to name a few.

Oatmeal is excellent. To spice mine up I add spray butter and salt and pepper. 2 full servings only 300 calories and you are full all morning.

Also, try POWER-POPS. They're fun, taste good and contain Hoodia to suppress your appetite.

oatmeal is great fibre food. its fine as long as you dont go for seconds.
