The coarse texture you are feeling may be caused by excess build up on the hair. Don't panic. Try using a clarifying shampoo for a few days to remove the build up.

Course is not a typical texture from coloring hair. It may seem really dry, or mushy. Either way, you have damaged your hair. There are no quick fixes. You will need to have your hair trimmed and do a series of deep conditions. It will take some time to repair, and it will still have damage when you think it is time to color again. Have a friend help you or better yet, go to a pro. When you color hair, you are not to let color get on the whole stand for the full color timing, so this causes the damage/ Good Luck

DEEP CONDITION!!!!! whenever you dye your hair u must always condition it and make sure to use shampoos and conditioners for colored treated hair! Ive been dying my dark brown hair lite blonde for about 4 years and its still as soft and healthy as the day i first dyed it!! just condition that hair!! you can get those deep conditioning repair hair treatment pakets that u leave on for lyke 10 minutes, and if u use a blow dryer cut down the use of it that can reely dry your hair out!!!

I color my hair at home also. Have you been conditioning like crazy? If not, this could be why your hair is so coarse and dry. I would recommend that you try Tresemme' color care products. That's what I use and it keeps my color and my hair soft. If this doesn't work, try talking with your stylist for suggestions. They just may suggest, if it's really really dry, cutting it.

When you die your hair make sure that you condition it as much as possible. Also you are supposed to use color treated shampoo! Go to a good beautician that knows how to treated your hair and you will be fine

condition it with olive oil...put it on your hair...place a plastic bag over your hair...and put the blowdryer on it...to warm the oil...(just not too hot...be careful!)...then wash your hair thoroughly...then condition with a good conditioner....rise with cool water. And don't use too many chemicals...it will fry your hair.

Have you been using the conditioner that comes with it? That stuff usually does a good job...Otherwise, get some new repairing conditioner....
