I wouldn't say hula hooping is going to help you lose seriously weight. I suspect the calorie burn on hula hooping is fairly minimal, similiar to light walking. Sure, you are using your abs and hip muscles, but I have yet to meet anyone who said they got a good burn from it and I have yet to see anyone break a sweat from hula hooping.

Also, another misconception is that working your ab muscles means you'll lose your belly flab. Not true. Calorie reduction and increased physical fitness reduces belly flab... not abs exercises and certainly not hula hoops.

This sounds like another gymicky idea and it certainly is the first I've heard about it.

If you are serious about losing weight and gaining fitness, try an activity that causes your heart rate to climb and improves cardiovascular fitness.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

i cant tell you the time but i can tell you that YES hula hooping is the best exercise for the stomach muscles. if you do a routine of around 10-15 mins with the hoop and then around 5-10 mins of crunches or sit ups with your hands at the back of your head, the belly fat will go in no time. and dont strain yourself.. start slowly and keep building up. :)
