There are many drugs you can get and these are designed for people with low thyroid problems. However if you take these when you have no thyroid problems they WILL muck your body up. They can speed up your thyroid at first, but then your bodys natural balance will alter to try to make up for this drug and cause you to end up putting on weight. These thyroid drugs have long term effects and are related to heart palpitations and liver problems. Don't risk the side effects if your only problem is excess weight. You just need to eat less crap and eat more fruit and drink water. And to preserve your muscle keep up your protein levels eating low fat foods like white meat, fish, eggs, skimmed/semi skimmed milk, and small quantities of nuts which are not low fat but very nutritious.

It's easy one dont touch any drugs at all. Keep eating but it has to be the right sort of food.
One example: A piece of apple pie is arond 350 cals. It takes 100 cals just to handle this. Without exercise you have gained 250 cals stored as fat!
An apple has about 65 cals, ok not as exiting as pie but the body uses 100 cals to burn that too.So the body has to take 35 cals from somewhere else. From the fat! Ok? Take a 40 mins walk every morning before you eat. The metabolism speeds up because you haven't eaten yet. After your walk eat lots. Not bacon . But porridge, fruit boiled eggs.
Take a look at a free site that I visited http://fit-n-fat.blogspot.com These guys really know what they are talking about.
Take care and leave the insides alone. No drugs at all.

I have been a fitness instructor for 7 years. The only effective way to burn fat and keep muscle mass is to undertake a prescribed exercise programme and healthy diet plan. A light cardiovascular programme working at around 60% of your maximum heart rate (220-age x 0.6) for 30 mins 3 times per week will burn fat and some resistance exercises to tone your muscles will also help you burn fat after you stop exercising. It is not advisable to take any diet pills or fat metabolising drugs. Apart from the fact that most of them don't work, you could take something that is unsafe and could do real damage to your body.

PLEASE consult your doctor. I take 1 hydroxycut in the am only about twice a week. anymore than that, and i feel how it's affecting me in a bad way. i eat a lot of fruits & vegetables. especially crunchy ones...they are more satisfying, and you burn calories by chewing them longer & harder.
here is some information about myself, plus some symptoms in case anyone coming upon your question may be interested;
i have low thyroid. if you have low thyroid...here's a great question to answer: can you see the floor of your house? that was what was asked of me at one point, and to my amazement, the answer was no!
anyway, the signs are:fatigue and lack of energy. Women suffering from underactive thyroid experience heavier menstrual periods. Sluggishness and forgetfulness are symptoms of underactive thyroid problem. Other symptoms of this thyroid disorder are dry skin and hair and constipation.
if you have high thyroid, or an overactive one, the signs are:increased body metabolism. This is followed by weight loss and excessive warmth and sweating. Persons suffering from overactive thyroid experience trembling hands, irritability and rapid heartbeat or palpitations. Women with overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism may experience shorter or lighter menstrual periods.
I take medication, and sadly will have to take 1 pill everyday for the rest of my life. there's a blood check that they will do to see if you have low or high. i hope i've helped you!!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Take Coconut Oil, rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides, which effectively produce energy, raise body temperature, promote thyroxine production, and provide other side benefits, e.g. promote healthy intestinal flora, prevent and address viral, bacterial and fungal infections. Also, Kelp, one of the first miracle "diet products' in the natural health industry, will support the production of thyroxine, naturally, while providing essential trace minerals and metabolism boosting substances.
