People feel safe in their hearts thinking that their God will save them, because when you live in a world with violence, corruption, and pain the people with faith still feel safe inside in their mind. WHY QUESTION THEM LET THEM BE they are not hurting anyone, They are probably more sane then other people because they know who they are inside.

Its a matter of faith and you just have to find that right time in your life when you need it. Whether you dump it later or not is a matter of total choice but I guess if you chose to believe in something you have to remeber how it felt and not rationalize it later as in the past and stuff.
Most people can never be sure they are right but its not a matter of give and take, like a bargain. Like you put your life on the line and live this religious life and maybe he'll reward you in the next life. It's like a personal meeting with God and I know that sounds a bit like a self-fulfilling prophecy whereby you feel special and so you continue. But those like me who can say theyve felt they have met with God will (hopefully) tell you it isn't like a bargain that you never get anything back for in this life. I can say personally he's blessed me with many gifts and even self knowledge I wouldnt have had otherwise.
Jesus was also meant to die, it's actually one of the pillars of Christianity, without it it would'nt work and many other people claim he didnt die but Roman records show that he was indeed crucified. In the Bible the whole of the scriptures build up to this sacrifice, even in the Old Testament.
Most people wrestle with a dilemma of was he just a human man or was he somebody the Jewish God had promised would visit earth at some point and die to reconcile everyone including gentiles (non Jews) to their right relationship with God.

Jesus could have saved him self at any time. In fact at the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus cried so hard not for the pain he was goining to go through but the sin he would have to bear Matt 26:36. If he didn't do it we'd be lost, he was our only chance. He wouldn't have done it if it wasn't going to keep who ever believed in Hm from hell. If you have a bible read Mattew chapter 4 all the way through. If you read carfully Jesus could have got out of it any time, He knew from the beggining that He would have to die for us and he did. Just believing and trusting. And as far as His faith turning Him down the whole world turned Him down. And last how do I know that He will save me... Faith trust and hope.

You can't really be sure. That's why it's called faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If I was to tell my big long story about how God got me to where I am you would understand better, but you could e-mail me for that.
And, no one should get mad at you for asking that it is a good question.
I have faith that if I follow what the Bible teaches, and repent for the things I have done that violate God's word, that I will be saved. And, even if it turns out that I was wrong, and my faith was misplaced, it is still a far far better life I am living for trying to uphold biblical principles.

Easy, you can't. Everyone who beleive they will accredit it to "faith". Faith is when something makes no sense and even though there is no way to prove or support it you beleive it anyway. Some will say that the beauty of nature, etc may prove these things, but fact is nothing will because if it was factual (as in there are 26 letters in the alphabet, or New York is larger than Delaware) there wouldnt be disagreement on it.

you cant be. thats where the word faith comes in. i try to keep an open mind. i honestly don't know what happens at the end of the world...but when it comes i don't think it matters what religion you are. all religions have the same purpose - they look for a higher meaning in life. not just one religion is the right one. i think its important though to believe in something. whether it be god or budha or even to be in a cult. wicca is a religion just like any other. and its not devil based. haveing some sort of religion and have set values, morals and beliefs will make you a better person.

contact me if you want to talk.

Religious life is a life of Faith. If you have no faith you have no religion and no assurances. What is Faith? Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen.

Your faith has not turned you down. Re examine yourself and keep pressing toward the higher goal of sincere and rewarding faith.

It's not a matter of God saving my physical life. It is, rather, a matter of Him saving my imperfect soul through the sacrifice of His son with a perfect soul. It is all about having eternal life for the soul in God's presence, not having a perfect life in the physical world. I do not get let down by my faith. If my faith is wrong ... then hey .... I've got nothing to lose. If I never came true, then I would be completely unaware of it because I would be oblivion. If others are wrong ... they have their soul to lose.

I say this to people who ask me this, I ask this one question. Which would you rather have, to believe in God and find out He doesn't exist, or not believe in Him, and find out He does exist? The truth is, if Jesus wasn't real, then I have nothing to lose by believing He was the Son of God, if He was real, and I don't believe in Him, I stand to lose everything, including an eternity in Heaven. I have nothing to lose in believing in Him. I have everything to lose if I don't. And please remember, Jesus chose to die on the cross. If He hadn't, then Heaven would never be available to us. Our sins had to be washed clean, and the only way to do that was a perfect sacrifice. Jesus was perfect, He never sinned. Sin can't be allowed into Heaven in ANY form, that is where Jesus comes in. Jesus knew He was dying to save all man kind that chose to love Him. Have faith, He loves you too. :)

Because I believe and it only takes one to believe to be saved. I know because I have peace in my heart the world can't offer and it's only through accepting Jesus Christ. No fear in death when you know where you're going. Jesus didn't need salvation, He offered salvation. If my faith didn't come true, I'm still not lost but if it comes true (if for the sake of arguement) only those who didn't believed are lost.

He could save himself, he chose not to for us. I will just continue to have faith in the God I was brought up believing in and serve him the way I have been instructed to do. And I will not discriminate against other religions because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Besides, my faith has never let me down before and so I will continue to trust it.
