It gives peace to the person living the spiritual life. Whether it gives peace to the world depends on whether or not the spirituality teaches them to respect other people's spirituality.

I believe leading a spiritual and contemplative life gives you peace. My searching gives me a since of understanding and peace. It helps me to know were i fit in and who i am.

Absolutely! Since learning many of the things I have about spirituality (mostly the new age thinking) I have felt so incredibly liberated in my life. I no longer fear death for instance. For that matter, I no longer fear living my life to the fullest with joy and celebration! :)
