They are called fraternal twins. They are the result of multiple eggs being fertilized in the uterus. Identical twins are created from a single cleaved egg.

The two types of twins are Identical (look exactly or almost exactly alike) and Fraternal (look different). Franternal twins are when their are two seperate eggs that are fertalized at the same time. Identical is one egg that splits into two, having the exact same DNA code.
