when they see a Darwin Fish displayed at the back of the car infront of them.

It's utterly amazing that some folks are calling those of us who believe in the theories of evolution "uneducated or miseducated". One guy is saying "many scientists don't believe that Darwinism/evolution is true".

Where did these people get their "education" from? Who are these "scientists" that deny evolution? Keep in mind, educated people know that Darwinism and the theories (theories is plural because it is a culmination of several) of evolution are in fact two different things. Darwinism is based on evolution through natural selection. The theories of evolution focus on genetic changes witnessed over a long period of time. Reputable scientists do debate some of the intricacies of both, but the fundamental truth of evolution is accepted hands down by the scientific community.

I got news for you kids: The world is indeed round. It is not the center of the universe. The theories of evolution are quite accepted by the scientific community because they are falsifiable and are backed by mountains of objectively verifiable evidence.

Creationism or it's "scientific" version "theory of intelligent design" are not falsifiable, testable, or accepted by qualified scientists because they are based on faith and fantasy, not science.

If all you die hard Creationists were in fact educated on at least a 3rd grade level you'd know this.

And if you don't know what "falsifiable" means in the context of scientific theory you should really take the time to educate yourself. You need to start somewhere........

People are entitled to their own opinions... I think the Darwin Fish is a creative way of expressing a belief in evolution... but at the same time, I don't see why evolution and religion can't go side by side.

I suppose I would have to wonder why the owner feels so insecure with his/her own beliefs that he would feel the need to publicly disrespect another's religious symbol. Most of our world's religions have a creation story. I would guess it would not be the safest or smartest decision to degrade 90% publicly. I didn't realize how tolerant and peaceful Christians truly are til I thought of this question. Thank you for reminding me...

I usually roll my eyes and let out a little laugh.

They have as much right to their opinion as anyone, and to display that opinion in any way they so choose.

I don't let it bother me. (To be honest I get just as annoyed by people with the Icthus' fish on theirs [and yes I'm a Christian], to me you're drawing attention to yourself either way. So in short, either way it's gross)

ps-I am a Christian but there's no need to be brash about it, in fact you're supposed to be humble and not "showey".

These acts of "worship" or recognition should be a private matter between you and God, not something to show off that you're in the "Super Spiritual Club" or if you're against it for that matter

I don't know but I wonder what the thing is with the fish in general. It's only one of many symbolisms in the book. Too, you go your way, I'll go mine. Probably, if I know human nature? Never the twain shall meet.

Well, now that its come to light that many scientists don't believe that Darwinism/evolution is true, I think its kind of funny that they should root their beliefs into a farce.

I think of how Darwin was reported to have stoped believing in his own theory before he died and might have confessed Christ as Lord.

I just think "Wow that guy needs help because he has to use a Christian symbol (the fish) to make a point. Why don't they use a frog or something?"

I am a Catholic, and whenever I see the fish symbol, I think about the one it represents and His religion, Christ/Christianity.

I'm going to write and record a song that has the lyrics:

creationism and evolution are not mutually exclusive

so people will pay attention to it.
