they are not poisonous to humans, that is, they won't bite us, fatally- i don't know about eating them-probably not too tasty--lady bugs are great for your garden--they eat lots of bad bugs, and people can actually buy boxes of lady bugs, at nursery's, because they are good for your garden.. people buy them for roses, because they will eat bugs, that would like to eat the rose bushes--so, lady bugs are not poisonous for humans, yet are terrific to have in your garden, to eat the bad bugs, that do not belong there !!!!!

Q. Are ladybugs poisonous?
A. No. Ladybugs are not poisonous to humans. However, they can have toxic effects on some animals. Ladybugs have a foul odor which deters some predators from eating them and their bright colors also help as a deterrent. In nature, red and orange, are warning colors that indicate to another animal or insect that the potenial "lunch item" might not be a good choice.

These insects can be highly annoying and inconvenient, though, when they invade a home in swarms. Thankfully, there are a few simple things you can do to get rid of ladybugs. Nope. They're not poisonus to humans. They eat the wee green things that eat leaves. Little lady bug lands on a leaf with the wee green things... slowly it crawl over them... lady bug flies away leaving little, empty, green shells lying on a leaf.
So no, lady bugs aren't poisonus to humans.
Unless you stick one up your nostril, which isn't recommended (talking from personal expirience here ;))

no not that I know of. They are a beneficial bug. In other words, ladybugs eat the bugs that are eating your plants. Lady bug, lady bug, fly away home, your house is on fire, and your children are home. Why would you eat a lady bug???

Yes, but not to you. When you catch one you'll notice it secrets an ugly liquid (toxin) that makes them taste bad to predators.
