yes! and in detail too.....it is not enough to know that having sex can result in a baby...a man should know how the female body functions and visa versa....

As a School Psychologyst I think that school must teach a course of Sex Education. This should be mandatory. I had the experience that when I evaluate and ask a child what means the word "prevent" most don't have any idea of what it is. Being this a real truth how can they know how to prevent sexually transmited diseases and undesired pregnancies? As a result we can see the spread of AIDS, high incidence of abortions and
parents maltreating their kids because of their frustration of not acheiving their goals, living in poverty and living of welfare.

Yes, because some kids don't get any information from their parents at all. The information, as you know, that you get from your friends is not always correct.
At least they are learning something. Most schools have a good program. I will never understand why parents have such a difficult time talking to their own kids.

Yes. Teenagers are going to have sex no matter how much you tell them not to, and the only way to keep them from contracting STDs and getting pregnant before they're ready is to tell them about both and how to prevent them.
I also think that condoms should be given away free at schools. The more access kids have to protection, the more likely they are to use it.

Yes! However, I think that children should know the basics before they learn in school. I don't think their parents should have to teach them what's inside a scrotum and what fallopian tubes are but, they should have the general, "birds & bees knowlage" befor school teaches them.

If parents are going to educate thier children on the issue than someone has to. How else are students going to make informed decisions?

My parents had 3 children in the first 3 1/2 years of marrage. and they TRIED to do family planning to space the children out. They almost knocked us over to sign permission slips for sex ed. saying they wanted their children to know more than they did!

Yes but thats just because my health teacher was cool he understood us and was funny too. As long as you have a good teacher who will help you feel less embarressed about sex then I don't see why not.
